Each summer we organise Alpine itineraries on a bespoke basis for our clients. This might be for 1:1 guiding or 1:2 guiding with a friend, where you have specific objectives in mind. Or perhaps you would like a shot at Mont Blanc, but want to acclimatise in a different valley base first to that on our standard itinerary?

You might also have a specific Jagged Globe guide in mind who you have climbed with before, so please ask us if they are available, though we cannot guarantee them without you booking well in advance of the summer. Our prices include all the guides' fees (including their guiding fees, uplift, accommodation and travel expenses) and your valley and mountain hut accommodation. Please contact us on 0845 345 8848 to discuss your programme and we will provide a written quote. You then need to pay a £150 deposit per person, with the final balance due 42 days prior to the start of the course.

Typical Programme

8-day Mont Blanc Special climbing via the North East Ridge from the Col du Midi (PD+/AD-)

Day 1:Saturday.
Course participants meet at the course base at 7pm. Briefing on the week's activities in the evening.
Day 2:Sunday.
Climb to mountain hut - Refuge Albert Premiere (2,706m). Ecole de glace.
Day 3:Monday.
Ascent of the Petite Fourche (3,520). Overnight at the Trient Hut.
Day 4:Tuesday.
Ascent of the Pointe d Orny (3,269m), an ascent mostly on rocky ground. Descend to the valley in the afternoon.
Day 5:Wednesday.
Travel through the Mont Blanc tunnel to Italy. Walk up to hut for Gran Paradiso.
Day 6:Thursday.
Climb Gran Paradiso (4,061m). An early start and ascent of glacial terrain leads to the fine, short summit ridge. Descend to valley and transfer back to Chamonix. Overnight Hotel.
Day 7:Friday.
Morning preparation for Mont Blanc. Telepherique to Aiguille du Midi and walk to Cosmiques Hut (3,613m).
Day 8:Saturday.
1a.m. start for our ascent of Mont Blanc, via Mont Blanc du Tacul and Mont Maudit, return to Cosmiques Hut.
Day 9:Sunday
Early start and ascent of the Arête des Cosmiques, or re-ascend to Aiguille du Midi Telepherique Station. Descend to Chamonix, dispersal at 3pm. You can book an additional hotel night if required.
