- Everest South Col 2008
Our 11th expedition to climb Everest via the South Col route runs from late March to early June and is led by two-time Everest summiteer, David Hamilton, who will be assisted by Adele Pennington. Our Base Camp Manager is Mara Larson.

2008 is our 14th season of Scottish Winter Courses, based near Glencoe on the West Coast of Scotland. Jagged Globe offers 4 courses, which range from introductory winter skills to high-level Snow, Ice and Mixed climbing. Each season we employ a core of Jagged Globe Guides and Instructors, many of whom also lead expeditions for Jagged Globe overseas.

Our 10th expedition to climb Everest via the South Col route runs from late March to the end of May and is led by IFMGA Guide, Iain Peter.

Our 9th expedition via the South Col Route assembles in Kathmandu on 26 March. They will spend the following two weeks trekking into base camp, arriving there on around 8 April. Jagged Globe Managing Director, Simon Lowe, is trekking in with the team to base camp, before travelling round to Tibet to visit the Army's West Ridge expedition.

In Spring 2005, Jagged Globe is running expeditions to both sides of Everest. Our North Ridge team includes past Jagged Globe climbers, Fred Ziel, Tore Rasmussen and Sibusiso Vilane, as well as the adventurer and writer, Sir Ranulph Fiennes. All together, there are 9 climbers from the UK, South Africa, Norway, Turkey, Swaziland and USA. The expedition leader is David Hamilton, who will be assisted by Neal Short.

The Ellsworth Mountains are so remote and isolated that if they did not contain the highest mountain in the continent, they would have only been visited by a handful of intrepid explorers.

The 2002 Shishapangma Expedition is being led by Steve Bell and Steve Findlay. Steve Bell is an IFMGA mountain guide with many years of high altitude climbing, including three expeditions to Everest. He has climbed all the Seven Summits. Steve Findlay has led six previous expeditions for Jagged Globe, including Khan Tengri and Aconcagua. Jagged Globe equipment manager, Alastair Horsbrough is also part of the team. Alastair's big mountain experience includes ascents of Aconcagua and Denali. Our team includes 12 climbers from 7 different countries.

Gasherbrum II is the most frequently climbed 8,000er in the Karakoram. Jagged Globe has run two successful expeditions to the peak in 1998 and 1999. This year, we are returning to the mountain with a team of seven climbers, led by David Hamilton and Javier Herrera.

The North Col of Everest is steeped in the history of the early attempts to climb Everest, during the 1920s and 30s. Discovered by George Mallory and his team in 1922, it is the key to the ascent of Everest from the north. Until now, anyone climbing to the North Col has needed to have a permit to climb Everest itself. The col has therefore only been climbed by teams attempting to reach the summit of Everest.
