Stok Kangri

Trip Reports

Stok Kangri was our very first expedition objective, in 1988. Since then more than 300 people have climbed the mountain with us, with the vast majority of members reaching the summit, despite it being over 6,000m high. The trek at the beginning of the trip provides excellent acclimatisation, as well as being a beautiful route in itself. The rest day in Leh is much appreciated by team members, before heading onwards to Stok Kangri. On the actual mountain, the climbing is never too steep or exposed, but it is hard work. However, the far-reaching views from the summit towards the Karakoram make the effort worth it!
