IntroductionThe Annapurna Circuit is renowned as one of the most spectacular and varied treks in the world. Starting from less than 1,000 meters in lush green valleys, it gives us a chance to explore the Himalayas from bottom to top and from many different angles and perspectives. The scale never fails to astound. The crossing of the Thorong La pass (5,146m) is the high point of the trek and a suitable challenge for first-time trekkers. This is a 'short version' of the Annapurna Circuit, flying back to Kathmandu from Jomsom via Pokhara, rather than trekking through the Kaligandaki Valley, which now has a road in it.
