Teams enjoying incredible weather on the Orion Face

Tony Halliwell reports, "This week's Winter Mountaineering course started with Hannah, Grant and Rowern off to the Wee Buachaille with Sam in stunning weather to get snow legs and revisit the basics of ropework.

And then - Ledge Route on the Ben today in simply stunning, blue sky, freezing conditions. Hannah climbed with Sam and Grant and Rowern climbed with me. There were teams like ants all over the Orion Face (see photo). Tower Ridge looked fantastic and Ledge Route gave us a brilliant journey. Then a toodle up to the summit, simply because with views like this, we wanted to delay our descent from the plateau for as long as possible."
