100% on the summit of Kilimanjaro on Saturday morning!

A jubilant team reached the summit in fantastic conditions at 0750 on Saturday morning. The Lemosho Glades route provided excellent acclimatisation for the team who moved steadily up the mountain reaching the summit in fine form. We were treated to a relatively mild night with no wind making the ascent an enjoyable experience. As the sun rose we took a break to refuel and prepare for the final couple of hours to the summit. The views were spectacular which served to motivate our team even more and raised spirits for the final push.

For some team members it was the first experience of expedition life and I look forward to hearing about their next adventures. Well done everyone! Deborah Laugharne « | »
