Kilimanjaro - 17 to 30 Dec '04

Twelve team mebers enjoyed generally good weather and a Happy Christmas on this Kilimanjaro trip. After eight of the group summitted Mt Meru, eleven went on to summit Uhuru Peak on Kilimanjaro, with one team member deciding that enough was enough at 3am half-way up the Western Breach>

The team, who originated from as far-afield as Honk Kong, Lithuania, Poland, Pakistan and Lanarkshire, all got on very well together and sustained high spirits throughout. For many, there was the satisfaction of "personal bests" regarding altitude and the trip was blessed with both summit days having clear skies and vast views.

An extra celebration was provided by Mick and Emma agreeing to marriage while at the summit of Kilimanjaro!
