Introduction

The Himalaya is the centrepiece of our trekking activities.

Since 1987 we have been visiting the lush forests and high alpine valleys or Nepal, the contrasting arid landscape and green river valleys of Northern India and the rugged and beautiful peaks, glaciers and valleys of the Karakoram.

We specialise in mountain environments. You won't find us trekking in the jungles of Borneo or Vietnam, but if you would like to join the experts in high-altitude trekking, no-one is more qualified than us. We reguarly achieve 100% in getting all of our trekkers to Everest Base Camp in the same way as we regularly see all of our climbers reach the actual summit of Everest itself. That doesn't mean you have to be young, fit and fast to join our treks. You can expect a broad cross-section of people on them, though they do have one thing in common; they want something more. That might be an extra day for acclimatisation, or a professional trek leader in addition to their Sherpa guide.

If you're considering your first trek our versions of the classic Everest Base Camp Trek or Annapurna treks have been carefully designed based on many years' experience taking trekkers on these routes. On our tougher treks, for example, around the Dhaulagiri Circuit or to the north and south base camps of Kangchenjunga, we bring the same meticulous planning and experienced leadership to bear as we do on our mountaineering expeditions.
