Moroccan Ice
Overview
Introduction
A week of ice-climbing on Mount Toubkal, Morocco. North Africa's highest mountain is quickly gaining a reputation for its superb ice and mixed routes, which are in condition during the winter months. These can be accessed from the comfortable Mouflons Hut, located at 3,200m. This is a week for fit and keen ice climbers, who are looking for something a little different. The week starts in Marrakech, where you'll stay overnight before driving for 2 hours to Imlil, a Berber village at the base of Toubkal. From here you'll head up to the Mouflons Hut in teh afternoon. Based here for five nights, you will climb whatever looks good. The week is guided at a 1:2 ratio.Experience Required
We recommend that you have previously joined an Alpine Ice course with us before. We also recommend that you have climbed at altitudes in excess of 4,000m previously.Preparation
