Trekking in the Taurus Mountains to the summit of Mount Emler and visiting world-famous Cappadocia

Introduction

Situated in Southern Turkey, Aladaglar National Park is part of the rugged Taurus Mountains. Mount Emler is one of the most popular summits in the range, which you reach on this trip via the Yedigoller Plateau, home to semi-nomadic Sherpherds. Following a week of trekking through the Aladaglar, you will visit historic Cappadocia with its unique landscape.

With Flight pricing

Our 'With Flight' price includes an Economy class return airfare from the UK. The cost is based on a group fare that we have already reserved, or individual seats that we have budgeted for. Note that in some circumstances, the earlier you book, the less expensive the airfare and the 'With Flight' price.

What the price includes

• Economy class return airfares from the UK to Kayseri (unless Land Only).
• UK airport taxes.
• One group transfer between the airport and the guest house in Cukurbag (on arrival of your international flight and one for departure and arrival of your in-country flight). Unless Land Only.
• All road transport by private vehicles.
• 2 nights' guest house accommodation on a full board, twin-sharing basis.
• 1 nights' hotel accommodation on a full board, twin-sharing basis.
• 5 nights' camping in tents on a full board, twin-sharing basis.
• All porterage costs for group and personal equipment.
• All costs for English-speaking Turkish mountain guide and local helpers.
• All costs for English-speaking cultural guide for Cappadocia visit.
• Jagged Globe kitbag or lightweight fleece.

What the price does not include

• Visa fees.
• Overseas airports taxes not paid in advance through the international airline ticket.
• Airport transfers in Kayseri for those joining on a 'land only' basis.

Tailor-made option

We can organise this trek on a ‘tailor-made’ private basis for groups of friends, families, clubs, charities or any other group. Depending on your trekking experience, you may want a Jagged Globe leader or go ‘self-led’ with the assistance of local guides. The cost of going private can be surprisingly reasonable, particularly if you take the self-led option. Please contact us to discuss the itinerary and your preferred dates. Typical Itinerary

Day 1:	Fly London to Kayseri Overnight Guest House.
Day 2:	Aladaglar National Park. Trek to campsite at Karagoal Lake (2,800m)
Day 3:	Trek to Yedigoller (seven lakes) plateau via Teke Kalesi (3,517m)
Day 4:	Trek to Suner Tepe (3,700m)
Day 5:	Mount Emler summit (3,723m)
Day 6:	Trek to Emli Valley via Eznevit Plateau and Siyirmalik Valley
Day 7:	Trek to Alaca Yayla, drive to Cappadocia
Day 8:	Visit Cappadocia
Day 9:	Fly home Transfer to Kayseri Airport. Fly home.
