- Our itinerary and acclimatisation schedule is carefully designed.
- The trek is led by a highly experienced Jagged Globe Sherpa Guide. They are supported by a Nepalese Sirdar who knows the trek well, plus porters.

Typical Itinerary
| Day 1 - 2: | Fly to Kathmandu Team members joining on a "land-only", please plan to arrive in Kathmandu on Day 2 no later than 1630, when your services will begin. Overnight hotel. |
| Day 3: | Drive to Syabrubesi (1,550m) 6-hour drive from Kathmandu, with breaks. Overnight lodge. |
| Day 4: | Trek to Lama Hotel (2,470m) The first day of trekking follows the Langtang Khola river below spectacular cliffs (where you can see honeycombs dangling). At these lower altitudes, you can expect it to be warm and humid. Wildlife to look out for includes Langur Monkeys, though the forest hides those too shy for photos, such as Red Pandas and Himalayan Ghoral. |
| Day 5: | Trek to Langtang Village (3,430m) Leaving the forest, the landscape changes with deciduous trees giving way to conifers then rhododendron before alpine meadows take over. As you climb further, the view opens up with the awesome Langtang Lirung (7,234m) dominating and stealing your gaze to the north. Ahead lies our destination for the night, Langtang Village. |
| Day 6: | Trek to Kyanjin Gompa (3,830m) via Langtang Village Very simply today, you continue up the valley through yak pastures with teahouses dotted here and there. As you gain height, if only slightly, more snowy mountains come into view. After just a few hours, you approach Kyanjin Gompa. Here, new guest-houses have been built since 2015, in anticipation of new visitors - not least of whom will be the Nepalese, uncovering these same wondrous places for themselves. |
| Day 7: | Acclimatisation/rest day After six days of being on the move; from airports to roads, through forests and pastures, today is for resting and acclimatising. Be lazy or strenuous, the choice is yours. |
| Day 8: | Climb Tserko Ri (4984m) Not far beyond the village, a trail climbs steeply up the left-flank and rapidly leaves the valley floor behind. It is a well-trodden path, but not always easy, to the prayer flagged draped summit of Tserko Ri. Whilst rocky in places, it is not unusual for snow to cover the last few hundred metres of the route to the summit. Once on the summit, among the prayer flags, the views towards snow-capped 6,000m peaks are spectacular. In more ways than one, this is likely the high point of the trek. So, weather allowing, linger and enjoy the views as well as the chance for photographs. |
| Day 9: | Descend to Lama Hotel (2470m) It is quite a long walk today as you descend all the way to Lama Hotel in one go. Don't worry though, as you will be better acclimatised now for your three nights higher up. What's more, you can take lunch back in Langtang Village and breaks at any of the teahouses dotting the route back down. And the Langur Monkeys will be there to cheer you home as you finish. |
| Day 10: | Syabrubesi (1,550m) Continue down the valley to reach Syabrubesi. Overnight lodge. |
| Day 11: | Drive to Kathmandu. Return drive to Kathmandu where we will soon have you back in your hotel, where your body might sleep but your mind will dream of mountains seen, paths trodden and friendships made. |
| Day 12: | At Leisure in Kathmandu A chance to explore the bustling capital, with its beautiful temples and bustling markets. Overnight hotel. |
| Day 13: | Fly home Airport transfer. For those joining "land-only", you should book your flight home today. |
IMPORTANT NOTE: Every effort will be made to keep to the above itinerary, but as this is adventure travel in a remote mountain region, we cannot guarantee it! Weather conditions, availability of porters and the health of team members can all contribute to changes. The guides and their Sherpa assistants will try to ensure that the trip runs according to plan, but please be prepared to be flexible if necessary.
