Outline Programme

Day 1:Course participants meet at the course base at 7pm. Briefing on the week's activities in the evening. The Course Director will organise any hire equipment or boot fittings for the following morning.
Day 2:We take Europe's highest ski lift, the Klein Matterhorn (3,883m) to make an ascent of the Breithorn (4,164m), returning mid day to Zermatt and transfer round to Saas Fee to take the 4.30pm lift to the Britannia Hut (3,030m).
Day 3:From the Britannia hut we make an early start on the Strahlhorn (4,190m), skiing back for a second night in the Britannia hut.
Day 4:We make an ascent of the Allalinhorn (4,027m) skiing all the way back down to Saas Fee (1,800m). 2,227m of descent and transfer back to Zermatt. Overnight hotel.
Day 5:We use the Klein Matterhorn lift again to give us access to the Schwatztor glacier, a classic Zermatt off piste descent. We then skin up to the Monte Rosa hut (2,883m).
Day 6:A pre-dawn start by headtorch to make an ascent of Monte Rosa, climbing to the Signalkuppe summit (4,554m) home to the Margherita Hut, which is Europe's highest mountain refuge. 1,672m of skinning (7-hours up). Ski descent back to the Monte Rosa hut.
Day 7:We traverse from the Monte Rosa hut to the Stockhorn (3,532m) giving us a long descent back to Zermatt. Overnight hotel.
Day 8:Dispersal. Breakfast will be provided on the last morning before skiers leave the course.
