Outline Itinerary
| Day 1: | Fly from London to Norway Arrival in Norway at Oslo Gardermoen airport. Transfer by airport bus into the mountains (approx 3.5 hours). We will be staying the first four nights and last night in the log cabin. Evening: dinner and itinerary briefing. |
| Day 2 - 3: | Morning: Collect skis, poles and boots from the local hire shop and then we're off learning about this new kind of ski equipment on the nearby pisted slopes. This includes developing your knowledge of avalanche terrain and self-rescue ie use of transceiver, probe and shovel. We use video footage to provide you with high quality feedback and give a greater sense of achievement. We can alter the plan to suit our group - varying from one-to-one tuition and advice, to group teaching, to individual practice. You can expect 4-5 hours of skiing each day. |
| Day 4: | Time to put our new skills to the test with our first full day of mountain skiing away from the pisted slopes - increasing our knowledge and experience 'reading' the terrain and the slopes. |
| Day 5 - 7: | Today we set off on our 3 day mini-expedition. We venture further into the mountains with pulks, to ski from our tented basecamp. These will be full days of skiing in the mountains, enjoying those exhilarating descents on ski touring equipment. At the end of Day 7, we return the hire equipment, and celebrate our achievements over our final dinner. Evening presentation: 'What's next?' regarding future trips and expeditions. |
| Day 8: | Morning transfer back to Oslo Gardermoen airport for onward travel home the same day. |
