Ama Dablam

Ama Dablam

The South West Ridge of Ama Dablam is a beautiful route, on mainly good rock, with sections of mixed climbing and a snowy finale. We go in the late autumn season, when typically there are fewer people on the mountain and the weather is cold but stable. To date (2023) we have organised 19 expeditions to Ama Dablam.

Dhaulagiri VII is probably the 'easiest' and most objectively-safe 7,000m peak in Nepal. It is still a serious undertaking and would provide excellent preparation for those who want to climb Everest or other 8,000m peaks in the future.

Khumbu Climber

An action-packed adventure climbing three peaks in the shadow of Everest. Our expedition itinerary is the original Khumbu Climber, which we first planned and organised in 1993. Introduction

Nepal is the centrepiece of our worldwide mountain activities. The high mountains of the Nepalese Himalaya draw climbers and trekkers from all over the world. Jagged Globe was one of the first organisations to pioneer expeditions to what are now the popular trekking peaks of Mera Peak and Island Peak. Whilst we continue to climb these each year, we are always exploring new possibilities and in recent years have organised expeditions to lesser-known peaks such as Himlung Himal, Kyajo Ri and Cholatse. On the trekking front, we offer the classic treks, but always with a twist. Our Everest Base Camp Trek is longer than most, our Everest 3 Peaks 3 Passes trek is a unique itinerary and from the Dhaulagiri Circuit, we offer an ascent of the non-technical 6,000m summit, Dhamphus Peak, something no-one else does. Our treks are well-planned, organised and supported and our local staff are some of the best in Nepal.

Climb a Himalayan Trekking Peak

picYou don't have to be an accomplished mountaineer to join an expedition to the Himalaya. Our trips to Mera Peak (3 weeks) in Nepal and Dzo Jongo (2 weeks) in India are designed for fit walkers and trekkers who are looking to extend their experience to higher altitudes. You will gradually trek in to the mountain, taking time to acclimatise, before the ascent to the summit from a high camp. Both climbs are on low angled snow slopes, where basic crampon and ice axe techniques, a lot of effort and some luck with the weather are required for success.
