Shishapangma team are off

Adele Pennington just emailed from Shishapangma ABC. The weather has improved and they will be leaving ABC tomorrow for Depot camp and if all goes well shall be attempting the summit on 2 October. However, they do have a few issues to battle against, such as finding their camp 3 and wading through the snow.

Ian and Ron will be joining the summit atempt but unfortunately James has to return home on his original flight [the expedition was due to depart base camp 30 September, but due to the poor weather, they are staying on - Ed]
