Makalu - trek in with the team

This spring, we have a team of mountaineers heading to Makalu, the world's fifth highest mountain, to make a rare attempt on the North Face and North West Ridge. Between them, they have five Everest summits and thirteen 8,000m peak summits. The leader, Robert Anderson, has led Jagged Globe teams to the top of Cho Oyu, Shishapangma and Everest - 3 of the world's 14 peaks above 8,000m. You can join this team on the trek into base camp. The trek takes you through the Makalu-Barun National Park, famed for its spectacular flora and fauna and populated by a wide cross-section of Nepali peoples with diverse cultural backgrounds. Dates are 3 to 25 April 2011
