Cho Oyu 2016 - last few places

In spring 2016 we are organising an expedition to climb Cho Oyu, the world's 6th highest mountain. There are now 2 places remaining on the team (max team size: 12), which will be led by Matt Parkes. Matt has been to Cho Oyu twice before, with his 8,000m climbing experience also including an expedition to attempt the still unclimbed south east ridge of Makalu, and Everest. We made the decision the change our Cho Oyu expedition to climb in the spring season, when overall the weather tends to be more reliable than the autumn season. Whilst climbing any 8,000m peak is a serious endeavour, not without undue risk, Cho Oyu is also the most objectively safe 8,000er in the world, without the avalanche risk associated with Manaslu. If you have previous experience climbing at altitudes above 6,000m and are comfortable on Alpine AD or equivalent, then get in touch.
