Peak Lenin summits!

Andy Chapman has been in touch from Camp 1/ABC on Peak Lenin where he reports one team member (Matthew) and a local guide summited Peak Lenin in challenging conditions, on 25 July. It was a 16-hour day from their top camp and Matthew's second attempt on the mountain, having on our second expedition in 2016, with Robert Anderson. Andy reports that the rest of the team made it a long way towards the summit on the notoiously "never ending" summit ridge, but turned back due to a combination of tiredness and weather. The group are due to descend to base camp tomorrow from where they will return to Osh. Congratulations to the entire team for a valiant effort and for making it safely down and off the mountain.
