Irish Make Whistle-Stop Tour of Mont Blanc

Great success from the First Week of our Alpine Summer Courses, with the Irish Team getting everyone to the summit of Mont Blanc [photos]. They had climbed Gran Paradiso earlier this week for training and acclimatsation. The following is a brief report from Ian Taylor who got the team together:

"On Wednesday, we left Chamonix at 11 am and by 10am Thursday, all 15 members, on their first climbing trip, made it to the summit of Mont Blanc. We left from the Tete Rousse hut (3,100m) at 2am and ascended 1,700m to reach the highest point in Western Europe. We are all back in the valley now ready to celebrate this massive achievement!"
