Cho Oyu team acclimatise to 6,000m

Robert Anderson reports from Cho Oyu base camp:

"Yesterday we hiked up to 6,050 meters, into a cirque surrounded by cliffs, ice and Cho Oyu rising uninterupted in front of us. Today our Sherpa Buddhist ceremony, the Puja was held, with several hours of chanting, the stringing of colourful prayer flags out across camp, and the consumption of the blessed beverage of choice. A large lunch, a nap or game of cards, and with our indoor cinema now set up, the screening of Batman at 7:30 tonite, we prepare for our climb up and return from Camp I tomorrow...."
