Update from Alpine North Faces course

Last week was the second of our Alpine North Faces courses this summer season in the Alps. Andy Owen has sent this report:

"The week started out cooler than the previous week, with some fresh snow on the hills. We had good conditions on the ChËrÈ Couloir and the Contamine Route on Mont Blanc du Tacul.

It was a good second half to the week, with fresh snow and cooler weather making the mountains look stunning. Our last 3 days have been based at the Torino hut, with a mixture of rock and ice on offer. A bit of poor weather on Wednesday saw us scratching up the North ridge on the Aig Marbree, very 'Scottish'. We then split up to climb the Gervasutti Couloir on the Tour Ronde, the traverse of the Aig Entreve, the Saluard route on Pte Adolphe Rey and the Rochefort ArÍte. It looks good for the coming week with some very stable weather developing over the next few days."

There are still places available on many of our summer Alpine Courses, so get in touch if you would like to join us!
