New rock scrambling course - Skye Munros

The Cuillin on the Isle of Skye is a scrambler's paradise, hosting some of the most beautiful mountain scenery in the world. It feels Alpine in scale and completing all twelve Munros in the Black Cuillin (including the outlier, Bla Bheinn/Blaven) is a lifelong ambition for many, as they are certainly the most difficult Munros to attain. There is the infamous Inaccessible Pinnacle, the only Munro that Sir Hugh Munro did not reach, as it requires rock climbing skills and an abseil descent. Of the other eleven, eight involve scrambling.

This course is designed for the experienced hill walker who wishes to bag all the Munros in the Black Cuillin. This rocky mountain range is notorious for route finding difficulties, so using an experienced Mountaineering Instructor to weave you across sections of the Cuillin Ridge will improve your chances of topping out on the Skye Munros. To make the most of this week, it is essential that you have a good level of fitness and a head for heights.

2019 dates: 18 to 25 May and 25 May to 1 June.
