Mera Peak summits and feedback from trekkers!

Congratulations to Patrick Hickie's Mera and Island Peak team, who summited Mera Peak on Sunday. Those members who are continuing onwards to the Amphu Labtsa and Island Peak are now in the Hongu Valley. The weather looks good for the next few days, so hopefully they'll get over the pass and to Island Peak whilst it stays fair. Meanwhile, our Everest Team Trekkers are back home with Sue and John sending us this wonderful feedback:

Dear Tom & Rosie,

We just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to all of the Jagged Globe team for the most amazing trip. We arrived home on Friday - tired, but having had the most amazing experience. One we will never forget.

Particular thanks needs to go to Santos and BJ. Nothing was too much trouble, they were great company and clearly took their roles extremely seriously. This was evident when I requested a helicopter from EBC as I was feeling so unwell. Santos was straight onto it with no stress or hassle for us whatsoever. They were a joy to spend time with and we would like to thank them both dearly for taking such amazing care of us. It really made our trip.

We would also like to say thank you to Shiv. He briefed us in Kathmandu and supported Santos in getting the helicopter organised. He has a wonderful reassuring manner and again nothing was too much trouble.

Thanks again.

Sue & John.

Ed Chard is leading the October Mera and Island Peak expedition - there are still places available.
