Everyone on the summit of Khosar Gang

We've been watching the weather forecast carefully over the past week, as on a short expedition such as this new trip to Khosar Gang, there isn't too much time to play with. Leader, David Hamilton was looking at 9 August as a preferred summit day over a week ago, though the forecast was inconclusive and at times was predicting snow. Once the team had completed their acclimatisation rotation to Camp 1, it was looking a little more positive for the start of this week. This morning (9 August) all of the team managed to reach the 6,046m summit of Khosar Gang and descend to Camp 2 (5,200m). Tomorrow they will return to base camp and then it's a 1-day return trip to Skardu before flying home via Islamabad. All in all a 16-day trip from Europe to climb a 6,000m peak - not bad!
