UPDATED: Mount Kazbek 2024

We have updated our itinerary for Mount Kazbek (5,033m) in Georgia for summer 2024. The changes relate to travel to/from the mountain from the capital, Tbilisi (we are no longer staying overnight in Gudauri, as it's not such a nice place to stay in summer). The trip still has a carefully designed ascent profile, with acclimatisation walks before moving to Betlemi hut on Kazbek itself.

This is a culturally interesting mountaineering trip with an exploratory feel to it. To join the expedition you need previous camping experience, Grade 2 scrambling experience and to have climbed Scottish II or Alpine PD routes.
