I was looking for something out of the ordinary so I convinced a couple of friends to tackle Kili with me. 10 day trip door to door.

This trip was outstanding and professional both from booking to trekking, both local guides and Jagged Globe staff were a pleasure to deal with. Simon, the tour leader, being knowledgeable and entertaining. At all times he was encouraging and professional there where some tough moments and he dealt with them all.

For me the highlights of this trek are the Barranco Wall day - some real rock monkey climbing to break up the trek - and of course the epic scenery and challenge of summit day.

Leaving at 2am and getting to the rim and then summit in the early morning to enjoy the views of the glacier and surrounding panorama was humbling, the large African sky and spectacular scenery made this day memorable forever.

Thanks to all at Jagged Globe and thanks to the team of individuals thrown together who became fast friends through shared hardship and pleasure.
