The second trip to Stok Kangri was thoroughly enjoyed by almost everyone, although the itinerary became difficult to stick to when delays early on (flights and political unrest in Leh) set the team back 2 days. Unfortunately, the group only made it to ABC with one possible day to make a summit attempt, spare days having been used up earlier in the trip. The day dawned with a classic 'Scottish style' hoolie blowing and Bonny made the difficult decision not to go for it. This is the only one of 20 expeditions that we have run to the mountain, where no-one has summited. Despite this, team members have been very forthcoming in expressing their enjoyment of the trip and in particular, their praise for Bonny Masson's leadership strength under difficult circumstances. « | »
