2001 Alpine Ski Mountaineering

Written by Leader Jim Blyth, July 2001

Simon,

I owe you a note on this trip. Everyone these days is very quick to complain when things go wrong. On this occasion I want to do the opposite. Everything ran like clockwork. All the paperwork, insurance etc came through promptly, and even a call to me about a week before just to ensure everything was set and no last minute questions or problems. Clearly a quality team in the office.

This quality was carried on in Chamonix. Everything from directions to hotel, skis, boots etc ran fine. On the hill, which is really the most important aspect, it was first class. Jim led us through a brilliant week, stretching our comfort level without ever over doing it. He even found us some powder on the last day, not easy in the snow conditions at the time. A great guy to boot.... well he is a Scot...an asset to your team.

Many thanks to you all for a great week. I'll have no hesitation in recommending you to anyone interested, and hope to use you again in the future.

Regards, DS, Alpine Ski Private guiding 2001« Previous report | »
