Jagged Globe team summits Makalu!
It's the news that we've all been waiting to hear...
We can confirm that Robert Anderson, Adele Pennington and James Nevile summited Makalu 8,463m with 4 of our Sherpas on Tuesday 17 May at 11:25 local time. Jim Griffiths left Camp 4 and reached 8,100m before descending. They had a 19 hour round trip to the summit and back to Camp 4. The team are now safely back in ABC and will post a report from their summit climb tomorrow. Robert said "we should have some excellent photos". Congratulations to the team! Makalu is the 5th highest mountain in the world.
