Rupshu and Lungser Kangri (6,662m) - guaranteed

Another Triple Locked summer Indian trip, the 7 - 26 July Rupshu and Lungser Kangri 'trek' is guaranteed to go ahead on the published dates. Lungser Kangri is a high mountain trek, which could equally have an expedition grade of 2A.

Neal Short said this about the trip last year "It has many highlights from the initial trekking in the Marka Valley and then the remote valley after the Zalung Karpo La (5,100m) which extended to Dat where we visited the monastery. Also the 'road' journeys were spectacular especially along the Indus on our return... to me Lungser Kangri appeared to climb as 'high mountain' and is maybe equal to Mera Peak in terms of grade. I climbed it in expedition mode with acclimatisation days of climbing higher - sleeping low. I hope we can 'persuade' folks onto this trip because it has incredible culture and trekking combined with a peak not much lower than Aconcagua and at a normal 'British summer holiday time'."

The team will be led by Tore Rasmussen, the first Norwegian to climb Everest via both the North and South sides, whose recent trips leading for Jagged Globe include Aconcagua, Kilimanjaro and Lhakpa Ri. Tore is also our agent in Norway and can be contacted on +47 917 17 325.

Also in India, we have guaranteed departures to Stok Kangri (26 July) and Nubra First Ascents (14 August)
