Introduction
We had a fabulous time in the Apennini in 2017 and it is well past time for a return visit. The unique villages and mountain scenery of central Italy make this a special trip. We will be day touring from comfortable hotel accommodation, sustained by delicious meals. The trip is fully flexible allowing us to make the most of conditions. One planned highlight is a ski traverse of central Italy's highest mountain the 2,912m Gran Sasso. Guiding with Jim Blyth throughout will be Francesco Tremolada IFMGA.
Start point: Rome, Italy
