Outline Itinerary
| Day 1: | Flight from UK to Oslo Overnight hotel at Oslo airport (Unless joining 'Land Only'). |
| Day 2: | Flight from Oslo to Longyearbyen Morning flight from Oslo to Longyearbyen. A short bus jorueny from the airport to our Longyearbyen accommodation. We meet late afternoon for an itinerary briefing and kit check. Overnight each night at the guesthouse in Longyearbyen opposite our equipment storeroom. |
| Day 3: | Skills refresher This first day will be an opportunity to further your skills on your cross-country ski equipment, on the local glacier of Longyearbreen. We can alter the plan to suit our group - you can expect 4-5 hours skiing each day, although there may be longer days of 5-6 hours. |
| Day 4: | Day Trip Today we are heading for our first trip 'out of town' to ski the valley of Bolterdalen towards Bolterskardet and the Scott Turnerbreen glacier - no doubt we will be overtaken at times by passing dog-sled teams! We take a taxi to the end of the road, and it will pick us up later on the same day. |
| Day 5: | Day Trip Our route today is one of ups and downs - we begin our journey with a short taxi ride to ski the full length of Enndalen. We might only be in the next valley from Longyearbyen, but this is pure wilderness and it's unlikely we will see anyone else until we reach Fardalen. At the end of the valley is a short steep section over a high pass, before we descend into Fardalen. Now for the 'big climb' up to the top end of Longyearbreen and our descent back down the glacier into 'town'. |
| Day 6: | Day Trip We take a taxi 'out of town' to the end of the road at No.7 mine, high up above the main Adventdalen valley and then set off on our ski tour to explore Breinosa and Foxfonna glacier, before returning for our taxi pickup back to 'town'. Now it's time to celebrate, and plan 'what's next'! |
| Day 7: | Return flight home |
